Chester ~ Water Tower Gardens Tour

The Water Tower Gardens are located outside the northwest corner of the city walls and can be accessed from the walls near Bonewaldesthorne's Tower.Within the gardens is the Water Tower and the ancient Blue Stone which may be the Glover Stone used to mark the boundary between the city limits and the township of Gloverstone. The gardens contain a two dimensional maize using the Jubilee colours of red, white and blue. These paths symbolize the flow of the River Dee (which used to the flow through the arch within the gardens in medieval times) and be followed to arrive at the central design.
